What it is
Motion Video Kit is a Claude Code skill, also usable as plain context for any LLM, for making premium, launch-style commercials for real businesses. It combines AI-generated footage, code-built motion (HTML/GSAP), selective Three.js and an independent-critic quality loop. It packages lessons from studying 28 professional SaaS launch films and from building two sample commercials through many rounds of critique.
Who it's for
- Claude Code users who want to produce business commercials, sample reels or explainers
- Creators who want an independent critic loop and measurable quality checks for video work
- Developers building deterministic Three.js product-film scenes
- Freelancers or studios pitching video to businesses who want vertical, price and pilot-offer guidance
Requirements
Requirements
- ffmpeg/ffprobe (with the ebur128 filter) for the scripts
- Claude Code to install it as a skill (or any LLM, by pasting SKILL.md and reference files into context)
- Optional: Node 22+ and HyperFrames for the lab template
- HyperFrames recommended for rendering
Setup
Install the skill in Claude Code
Clone the repo and copy the business-motion-film folder into ~/.claude/skills/ for all projects, or into <your-project>/.claude/skills/ for a single project. Then ask for a business commercial, sample reel, explainer, or a review of one, and the skill loads.
bashgit clone https://github.com/echris6/motion-video-kit.git cp -r motion-video-kit/business-motion-film ~/.claude/skills/ # all projects # or, per project: cp -r motion-video-kit/business-motion-film <your-project>/.claude/skills/Use with other LLMs
Paste business-motion-film/SKILL.md plus the reference files you need into the model's context.
Pros & cons
Pros
- Pro:Built-in Gauntlet review loop separates builder from judge, with ready-to-use critic prompts
- Pro:Measurable quality bar covering frozen time, loudness, contrast and brand colour, with supporting scripts
- Pro:Includes two worked case studies (a calm service film and a Three.js product film) plus notes on 28 reference films
- Pro:Renderer-agnostic principles; MIT licensed and usable with other LLMs as plain context
Cons
- Con:Works best with HyperFrames; the lab template optionally needs Node 22+
- Con:Market price data is a September 2026 snapshot of public listings and must be re-verified before quoting
- Con:Reference film notes are links and written analysis only, with no footage included
