What it is

SwiftUI Pro is an agent skill that helps AI coding assistants write smarter, simpler, and more modern SwiftUI. It gives guidance on API usage, design, performance, and accessibility, covering navigation, layout, animations, state management, VoiceOver, and deprecated API. It builds on the author's AGENTS.md file, uses the Agent Skills format, and targets mistakes LLMs actually make.

Who it's for

  • Developers using Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, Cursor, or other Agent Skills-compatible tools to write SwiftUI
  • Developers who want AI-generated SwiftUI reviewed for deprecated API, performance problems, or accessibility issues
  • Xcode users who want to add agent skills to their workflow

Requirements

Requirements

  • An AI coding agent that supports the Agent Skills format (e.g. Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, Cursor)
  • Node (for npx installation); Homebrew can be used to install it
  • Badges indicate design for iOS 26+ and Swift 6.4+

Setup

  1. Install with npx

Install the skill into Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, Cursor, and more. You can choose which agents to target and whether to install for one project or all projects.

    bash
npx skills add https://github.com/twostraws/swiftui-agent-skill --skill swiftui-pro
  2. Install Node if npx is missing

If you get npx: command not found, Node isn't installed. Install it through Homebrew (which itself may need installing first).

    bash
    brew install node
  3. Install via Claude Code marketplace

Claude Code users can add the marketplace and install the plugin directly through Claude.

    text
    /plugin marketplace add twostraws/SwiftUI-Agent-Skill
    /plugin install swiftui-pro@swiftui-agent-skill
  4. Manual install

Alternatively, clone the whole repository and install it however you want.

Pros & cons

Pros

  • Pro:Rules target documented LLM mistakes such as buttons invisible to VoiceOver, deprecated API use, and surprise performance problems
  • Pro:Works across multiple agents via the Agent Skills format, with several install routes (npx, Claude Code plugin, clone)
  • Pro:Supports full or partial reviews via specific instructions or natural language
  • Pro:MIT licensed, with contributions welcomed and a stated focus on keeping token cost low

Cons

  • Con:Badges indicate it is designed for iOS 26+ and Swift 6.4+, which may limit relevance for older targets
  • Con:Using skills carries a token cost, as the contributing notes acknowledge
  • Con:The npx route requires Node, which may in turn require Homebrew
